Card values

A value on every card, with the source shown

PCVault always shows a value and says where it came from. Your own value comes first. Next is Card Ladder or market data, depending on the mode you pick. If neither exists, recent Card Ladder comps, then your imported value, then an estimate from sibling parallels fill the gap. Totals add up every card.

Never a blank value, always a labeled source.

What you get

Source label

Owner, Card Ladder, Market, comps, Imported or Estimated.

Recent sales

The sales behind a market value, with links.

Collection total

Available and on hold cards, the same everywhere.

Hidden subtotal

Hidden cards are a separate amount in your admin.

Estimates

Sibling parallels fill the gap until a real value lands.

Last sold floor

In market mode, never below the last sold price.

The order PCVault uses

1. Your own value. 2. Card Ladder or market value, based on your mode. In market mode the value is raised to the last sold price if that sale was higher. 3. Card Ladder comps from recent sales. 4. The value from your import file. 5. An estimate from other parallels of the same card. The first one that exists is shown, with its label.

Collection totals and trends

Your collection total adds every available and on hold card and leaves out sold and deleted cards. Hidden cards are counted as a separate amount in your admin. Cards with market data also show 30 and 90 day trends and a value history chart.

Before and after

Before

  • Cards with no value at all
  • Guessing where a number came from
  • Totals that differ per screen

With PCVault

  • A value on every card
  • A source label on each one
  • One total everywhere

Questions

How does PCVault value my cards?

It uses the first value that exists: the value you set, then Card Ladder or market value based on your setting, then Card Ladder comps, then a value imported from your file, then an estimate. Each card shows a label such as Owner, Card Ladder, Market, Card Ladder comps, Imported value or Estimated.

Should I use Card Ladder values or market values?

Pick Card Ladder if you track your collection there and sync it. Pick market if you want values from recent sales data without Card Ladder. In Card Ladder mode a card with no Card Ladder value yet shows the market value, labeled until your next Card Ladder sync.

Where do market values come from?

From recent sales data for each card. The card page lists those recent sales with links where one is available. In market mode, the value is raised to the card's last sold price if that sale was higher.

What is an estimated value?

When a card has no other value, PCVault estimates it from other parallels of the same card. It is labeled Estimated, and setting your own value or syncing Card Ladder replaces it.

How is my collection total worked out?

Your total adds every available and on hold card. Sold and deleted cards are left out, and hidden cards are shown as a separate amount in your admin. The same total shows on your public page, your dashboard and your profile.
